Atypical Pots

As created by the owner John Phillips in the late 1870′s the wares made by the pottery were extremely varied, both in shapes and patterns. They probably tried out whatever came to mind of the throwers and decorators, probably in very short production runs. Only later did the more familiar patterns and the associated codes appear.

The pots in this gallery are a few examples of that ware, not all of which are marked in any way and so could be wrongly attributed (maybe!)

I would welcome other examples of Aller Vale Art pottery which could be shown here.
