B1 and D1 Patterns

My favourites

The B1 pattern consists of multi-coloured scrolls on a cream ground. The pattern occasionally incorporates a decorative terminal such as a Dolphin, and, very rarely indeed, a Dragon or mythical beast. (Scrolls also appear on other pots such as Pixy Jugs, the artists will be subject of a later page)

The D1 pattern comes in a variety of styles, usually on a blue ground and occasionally, but less successfully as a pattern, on a cream ground. The most desirable of the patterns include insects and sometimes birds and snakes in the design, all of which are executed in a stylised form. Some are found with a stylised Flower and then there are others with coloured scrolls.
